Description
1792 Bottled in Bond Select Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, made to Bottled-in-Bond standards: one distilling season, aged at least four years and bottled at 100 proof. This is a select-barrel bottling. It is a bottle for people who enjoy whisky and like to know what is in the glass.
Expect rich vanilla, caramel and baking spice on the nose, a full, oaky palate with a little rye spice and a long, warm finish. With a drop of water the aromas open up further and the texture softens, so it rewards a slow pour and a clean tulip or Glencairn glass.
Sip it neat or on the rocks, or use it where you want a bourbon that stands up in an Old Fashioned.
