Description
19 Crimes The Uprising is a hand-crafted wine from 19 Crimes, aged 30 days in rum barrels in homage to the Rum Rebellion, when convicts in colonial Australia resisted rule by the British.
The rum barrel aging gives it a distinctive sweet oakiness. Expect oaky vanilla and dark berry flavors, a soft texture and a warm, smooth finish that tastes richer than the price suggests.
Serve at room temperature with barbecue, burgers, pizza or hard cheeses. It pairs easily with light dishes, from salads and seafood to creamy pasta and soft cheeses. A medium glass with a slight taper keeps the aromas concentrated.
