Description
Absente is an anise-flavored liqueur made in the style of absinthe, with wormwood and herbs, delivering a bold licorice and herbal profile. It is a useful bottle for classic absinthe-style drinks and for sipping.
Expect strong anise and fennel on the nose, a sweet licorice palate with herbal depth and a long, cooling finish. It is a bold, characterful liqueur with a flavor profile that stands apart from sweeter, simpler liqueurs.
Serve it the traditional way, poured over a sugar cube and diluted with cold water until it turns cloudy, or use it in a Sazerac rinse. Serve it cold for the best balance. Store it upright in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.
