Description
Aperol is a bright orange Italian aperitivo made from sweet orange peel, mandarin, bitter orange and an array of herbs and spices. It is lighter and sweeter than most bitters, and the base for the famous Aperol Spritz.
Expect sweet orange, rhubarb and gentle herbs on the nose, with a light, bittersweet palate and a clean, refreshing finish. It is a classic bittersweet style, enjoyed both before dinner to open the appetite and after dinner as a digestif.
Mix the classic spritz with three parts prosecco, two parts Aperol and a splash of soda over ice with an orange slice. Serve it cool, and garnish with a citrus peel for added aroma. The 1L bottle suits home bars and entertaining.
