Description
Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as one of the peatiest, smokiest and most complex single malt Scotch whiskies. It is made on the Isle of Islay.
Expect intense peat smoke, tobacco and coffee on the nose, a sweet, citrusy and lightly oily palate, and a long, smoky finish. With a drop of water the aromas open up further and the texture softens, so it rewards a slow pour and a clean tulip or Glencairn glass.
Sip it neat or with a few drops of water. A classic pairing is oysters, smoked salmon or dark chocolate. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, and pour it at room temperature to get the full range of aromas.
