Description
The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch matured in two distinct cask types. This is the gift presentation. It is a bottle for people who enjoy whisky and like to know what is in the glass.
Expect honey and vanilla with a layer of sherry-cask spice, a smooth, mellow palate and a long, warm finish. With a drop of water the aromas open up further and the texture softens, so it rewards a slow pour and a clean tulip or Glencairn glass.
Sip it neat or with a few drops of water. It pairs well with dessert, nuts and aged cheeses. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place, and pour it at room temperature to get the full range of aromas.
