Description
Balvenie Thirty is a Speyside single malt Scotch from the Balvenie distillery in Dufftown, married from whisky aged 30 years in traditional oak with sherry oak influence. It is one of the distillery's rarest long-matured bottlings, a collectible and special-occasion pour.
Long maturation in sherry and traditional oak lends the rich, mellow depth and complexity the label describes. Expect dried fruit, honey and toffee alongside polished oak, spice and a long, gentle finish. Specific flavors can vary by batch and bottling, so treat these notes as a guide to the style rather than a fixed profile.
Sip neat or with a few drops of water to open up the aromas; a tulip-shaped glass at room temperature is ideal. It pairs well with dark chocolate, nuts and mature cheese.
