Description
Barceló Imperial Onyx is a dark expression of Barceló Imperial from the Dominican Republic, bottled with a deep color and a smooth character.
Expect notes of molasses, toasted oak and dark fruit, a smooth palate, and a warm finish. Extended barrel aging typically rounds off the rough edges of rum and layers in baking spice, caramel and toasted wood.
Sip it neat or on the rocks, or mix it with cola. Pour it neat or over a single large cube so you can taste how it evolves, and consider pairing it with dark chocolate or a good cigar. It makes a fine gift for rum drinkers and works well as a step up from everyday sipping rums.
