Description
Bardstown Bourbon Co. Discovery #8 is an intricate blend of Kentucky bourbons, Indiana ryes, and aged Canadian whiskey, launched in July 2022. The blend includes a 12-year-old Kentucky bourbon, 7-year-old Indiana rye, 12-year-old Canadian corn whiskey, and 6-year-old Indiana rye.
Five custom oak staves, each selected for a distinct flavor profile, were added to the blend to further round out its complex character — a showcase of Bardstown's collaborative, experimental approach to whiskey-making.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Layered grain character from the bourbon, rye, and Canadian whiskey blend.
Palate: Complex spice and oak shaped by five custom stave finishes.
Finish: Long and rounded.
