Description
Bib & Tucker Double Char 6 Year is a small-batch bourbon finished in heavily charred oak barrels. The extra char deepens the oak influence and gives the whiskey a bolder, richer profile than a standard bourbon of its age.
Expect deep caramel, toasted oak and warm spice, with notes of dark sugar and vanilla and a long, warming finish. Bourbon must be made from at least 51 percent corn and aged in new charred oak, which is where its sweetness and vanilla character come from.
Serve neat or over a large cube to appreciate the grain and oak, or use it in an Old Fashioned, Manhattan or Whiskey Sour. It pairs well with smoked meats, dark chocolate and aged cheeses.
