Description
D'Ussé VSOP is a cognac from the Château de Cognac, a house known for smooth, approachable blends. Its aromas are woody with touches of cinnamon and florals, followed by spice, almond, honey and dried fruit.
On the palate it is distinctively smooth, with hints of spice and almond leading to subtle honey and dried-fruit accents on the finish. Cognac is double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged in French oak, which gives it the fruit-forward, floral character that sets it apart from other brandies. Grade matters: VS is aged at least two years, VSOP at least four and XO at least ten, so older grades are generally richer and more layered.
Serve neat, over ice, or in a cognac cocktail. The 375ml half bottle suits smaller occasions and gifting.
