Description
Deau Privilège is a cognac from the independent Deau Cognac house in the Charente region, bottled in 700ml.
Expect a smooth, rounded profile of dried fruit, vanilla and oak spice, typical of a well-aged cognac. Cognac is double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged in French oak, which gives it the fruit-forward, floral character that sets it apart from other brandies. Grade matters: VS is aged at least two years, VSOP at least four and XO at least ten, so older grades are generally richer and more layered.
Serve neat or over ice, or use it in a cognac cocktail. A tulip-shaped glass concentrates the aromas, and a few drops of water can open up the nose.
