Description
Drimia Winery's Cabernet Sauvignon is a kosher red, made mevushal so it stays kosher when handled and served by anyone. Cabernet Sauvignon is the world's most planted red grape, prized for its deep color, structure and ability to carry oak and age gracefully in the bottle.
On the nose and palate, a wine in this style typically shows blackcurrant, black cherry and plum, with notes of cedar, spice and oak. Expect a medium- to full-bodied red with firm tannins and a finish that lingers.
Serve at about 60-65°F, decanting briefly if the wine is young. It pairs naturally with grilled steak, lamb, roast beef and aged hard cheeses. Younger bottles benefit from a short decant, while a few more years in the cellar can soften the tannins further. This wine is kosher.
