Eifel Whisky Edition 2019 is a single malt whisky from the Eifel region of Germany, with an unpeated, smooth style. German single malts are a small but growing category.
Expect smooth malted barley, soft fruit, vanilla and gentle spice. Whisky made outside the traditional Scotch, Irish and American regions is often more experimental in cask choice, and can offer an interesting change of pace. It is worth trying side by side with a Scotch to see how the cask and climate shape the flavor.
