Description
Evan Williams 100 Proof is a Kentucky whiskey from Evan Williams, bottled at a higher strength than the standard expression. It is a value pick for bourbon fans who want a bolder pour.
At 100 proof, expect more spice and oak than the standard bottling, with caramel, vanilla and a warm finish. Bourbon must be made from at least 51 percent corn and aged in new charred oak, which is where its sweetness and vanilla character come from.
Serve neat or over a large cube to appreciate the grain and oak, or use it in an Old Fashioned, Manhattan or Whiskey Sour. It pairs well with smoked meats, dark chocolate and aged cheeses.
