Description
Fladgate Late Bottled Vintage is a Port from Portugal with a 2013 vintage noted. LBV Ports are aged in barrel for four to six years before bottling, making them ready to drink on release. Port is made by adding grape spirit during fermentation, which halts the process and leaves natural sugars in the wine, resulting in a rich, sweet and higher-alcohol style.
Port is a sweet fortified wine from Portugal's Douro Valley, typically offering rich dark fruit such as plum, blackberry and cherry, with notes of chocolate and spice and a warming finish.
Serve at cool room temperature in small glasses with blue cheese, dark chocolate or nuts, or after dinner on its own. Once opened, it will keep for a few weeks if sealed and stored in a cool place.
