Description
Four Roses is a Kentucky bourbon distillery known for combining several mash bills and yeast strains into balanced, fruit-forward whiskeys. This 750ml bottle of Four Roses Select is a bourbon from that house, positioned a step above the entry-level bottling. American whiskey is typically aged in charred oak barrels, which contribute vanilla, caramel and spice.
In keeping with the Four Roses style, expect aromas of ripe fruit, light spice and soft oak, with a smooth, medium-to-full body on the palate. Notes of vanilla, orchard fruit and baking spice usually lead to a mellow, lingering finish.
Sip it neat or with a few drops of water, or use it in a Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
