Description
Gato Negro Carménère is a Chilean red from the Gato Negro brand of Viña San Pedro, made from the Carménère grape. Single-variety red wines are made to show the character of the grape and the place it is grown, so each bottle offers a clear window into its style.
Carménère is typically deep in color, with blackberry, plum and red pepper notes, a touch of spice and soft tannins.
Serve at about 60-65°F with grilled meats, empanadas, tacos or roasted vegetables. A short breathing time in the glass can help the flavors come together.
