Description
Gekkeikan Black & Gold is a sake from Gekkeikan, one of Japan's best-known sake breweries. Sake is a Japanese rice wine brewed in a process closer to beer than wine, with rice, water, yeast and koji mold as the key ingredients.
Sake of this kind is brewed from fermented rice and generally shows clean, delicate aromas of rice, melon and pear, with a smooth texture and a gentle finish.
Serve chilled or slightly warmed, depending on preference, with sushi, sashimi, tempura or light Asian dishes. Keep the bottle refrigerated after opening and enjoy it within a few weeks for best freshness.
