Gérard Bertrand Côtes des Roses is a dry rosé from the Languedoc in southern France, presented in a distinctive rose-shaped bottle. Rosé gets its pink color from brief contact with red grape skins, and is a popular choice for warm weather and casual entertaining.
Dry-to-off-dry rosé of this kind typically shows strawberry, raspberry and watermelon, with a hint of citrus and floral lift, plus crisp acidity that keeps the finish clean and refreshing.
Serve very cold, about 45°F, on a warm day with salads, grilled shrimp, charcuterie or light appetizers. It is at its best young and cold, enjoyed within a year or two of the vintage.
