Description
Gilgal is a kosher label from the Golan Heights Winery in Israel. This Chardonnay is a fruity, approachable white. Chardonnay is one of the most widely grown white grapes, and its style can range from lean and mineral to rich and creamy depending on where it is grown and how it is made.
Chardonnay in this style generally shows apple, pear and citrus with a touch of tropical fruit, and depending on oak treatment, hints of vanilla and cream. The palate is round and the finish clean and balanced.
Serve well chilled, about 45-50°F, with roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta or soft cheeses. Avoid serving it too cold, which can mute the aromas and flavors. This wine is kosher.
