Description
Glen Garioch is one of Scotland's oldest working distilleries, located in Oldmeldrum in the Highlands. The 12 Year Old is its core single malt, a Scotch matured for at least twelve years and bottled at 750ml. Single malt means the whisky comes from a single distillery and is made from malted barley in pot stills, so each bottle reflects its distillery's house style.
Expect a fruity, gently smoky profile typical of the Glen Garioch house style, with notes of orchard fruit, honey and malt over a light peaty edge. The palate is medium-bodied and warming, with a clean, lingering finish.
Serve it neat or with a splash of water. It also pairs well with smoked salmon and aged cheeses.
