Description
GlenAllachie 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt aged in hand-selected Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and hogsheads. Billy Walker added it to the core range in 2019, and it is bottled without chill-filtration or added color at 46% ABV.
The nose is rich with cinnamon, orange zest, vanilla toffee and dark chocolate. The palate is full and generous with sweet spices, raisins and butterscotch, followed by banana and orange peel, and the finish is long and warming.
Enjoy it neat in a tulip glass to take in the aromas. It also pairs well with dark chocolate or a slow dessert after dinner. It is a reliable gift for a sherry-cask whisky fan, and a good partner to a quiet night in.
