Description
The Glenlivet 12 Year Rum Cask is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky finished in rum casks, adding a hint of tropical sweetness.
Expect honeyed fruit and vanilla with a touch of caramel and warm spice, a smooth, rounded palate, and a gentle, lingering finish. Extended barrel aging typically rounds off the rough edges of rum and layers in baking spice, caramel and toasted wood.
Sip it neat or with a few drops of water. Sip it slowly, with a few drops of water if you like, and pair it with dark chocolate, nuts, or aged cheese. It makes a fine gift for rum drinkers and works well as a step up from everyday sipping rums.
