Description
Hakushu 18 Year is a Japanese single malt from Suntory's Hakushu distillery, set in a forest in the Japanese Alps. It is a silky, floral older expression from a distillery known for fresh, green and lightly smoky whisky. Japanese whisky is known for careful blending and a refined, balanced style influenced by Scotch traditions.
The color is deep gold. The nose offers ripe pear, dried mint, oregano and a hint of smoke. The palate shows jasmine, mango, quince and menthol, followed by a long finish with pleasant smoke and a touch of bitterness.
Serve it neat or with a drop of water in a tulip glass. A fine bottle for gifting or collecting.
