Description
Haykazuni 25 Year XO is an Armenian brandy with a 25-year age statement, sold in a 750ml bottle. Armenia has a long brandy tradition, and the label reads Armenian cognac in Russian; outside France the spirit is correctly called brandy, since the word Cognac is legally reserved for the French region.
Armenian brandy is made by distilling fermented grapes and aging the spirit in oak, and a long-aged bottling of this kind typically shows dried fruit, honey, toasted oak and warm spice with a smooth, lingering finish. Individual bottlings vary, so treat these as style notes.
