Description
Heaven's Door Straight Rye is a rye whiskey from the brand co-created by Bob Dylan. It breaks with tradition by finishing in toasted oak cigar barrels, air-dried in the Vosges region of France. Rye whiskey is made from a mash bill of at least 51 percent rye grain, which gives it a drier, spicier profile than bourbon.
The proprietary finish produces a smoother, more approachable rye with notes of orange peel, coriander and spice. The palate is lively but rounded, finishing with a warming, peppery glow.
Sip it neat or on the rocks, or mix it in a Manhattan, Sazerac or Old Fashioned.
