Description
Herzog Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah is a kosher red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from Herzog Wine Cellars. This is the 2004 vintage, so expect a mature wine with some bottle age. Cabernet Sauvignon is the world's most widely planted red grape, prized for its depth, structure and aging potential.
Cabernet Sauvignon of this style typically shows blackcurrant, dark cherry and cedar on the nose, with a structured palate, firm tannins and a lingering finish.
Serve at about 60-65°F with grilled steak, lamb or aged cheeses. A short decant helps it open up. This is a kosher wine, suited to holiday and Shabbat tables. Decant gently before serving, as older bottles can have sediment.
