Description
Highland Park 15 Year is a single malt from Orkney, made with locally cut Orkney peat, traditional floor malting and sherry-seasoned oak. It is matured in first-fill sherry-seasoned American and European oak along with some refill casks. The 15 Year sits in the middle of the range, richer and more complex than the 12 and often praised for its balance between sweetness and smoke.
The nose offers heather honey, citrus fruits, flowers and a light peat smoke. On the palate expect toffee, dried fruit and spice with a drying smoky finish that lingers and leaves you ready for another pour.
Enjoy it neat or with a splash of water after dinner. Its gentle smoke also pairs well with dark chocolate or smoked salmon. It is a dependable gift for a Scotch drinker.
