Description
Jim Beam Black is a bourbon that has been aged longer than the standard Jim Beam White Label, which gives it a fuller body and more developed oak character. It is bottled at 86 proof and has been a longtime favorite for everyday sipping.
Expect smooth caramel and warm oak up front, with vanilla and a hint of spice, and a longer, more rounded finish than the original. Bourbon is made from at least 51 percent corn and matured in new charred oak, which is where much of the vanilla, caramel and toasted wood character comes from.
Sip it neat or over ice, or use it in a Manhattan, Old Fashioned or bourbon and ginger ale. A splash of water or a single large cube can open up the aromas, and it pairs well with barbecue, smoked meats, aged cheddar or dark chocolate.
