John Milroy takes its name from the well-known London wine and whisky merchant Milroy's of Soho. Bottlings under the name are sourced and aged independently and are typically released in small quantities.

At 22 years of age, a Scotch single malt like this one tends to show honey and dried fruit on the nose, soft spice and oak on the palate, and a long, smooth finish. Specific notes will vary by bottling. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.
