Description
Knob Creek Rye is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey in the Jim Beam Small Batch Collection, aged in deeply charred barrels. It is bottled at 100 proof and has a bold, spicy character that stands out in cocktails.
Expect rye spice and black pepper, with caramel, vanilla and toasted oak, and a warm, full-bodied finish. Rye whiskey is made from at least 51 percent rye grain, which gives it a drier, spicier profile than most bourbons.
Pour it neat or over ice, or use it in a Manhattan, Sazerac or Old Fashioned. A splash of water or a single large cube can open up the aromas, and it pairs well with charcuterie, aged cheese or dark chocolate.
