Description
Laird's Applejack 86 is an American apple brandy blended with neutral spirits, in the tradition of Laird and Company, one of America's oldest distilling families. The 86 in the name refers to its proof.
Expect clear baked-apple and orchard-fruit character with light spice and a smooth, warming finish. Fruit and pomace spirits like this are typically unaged or lightly aged, so the character of the base ingredient stays front and center. They are traditionally served in small glasses after a meal, slightly chilled rather than ice cold, to let the aromas open.
Try it on the rocks, or mix a classic Jack Rose or an apple-forward Old Fashioned. Pair with cheese, cured meats, nuts or a strong espresso, and sip slowly.
