Description
Laphroaig Cask Strength is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled at natural cask strength, without dilution. It keeps the distillery's bold, peaty style at full intensity.
Expect powerful peat smoke, iodine and seaweed, with vanilla and a touch of sweetness, and a long, warm finish. A few drops of water can help open it up. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.
Sip it neat or with a little water. It is best for experienced peat fans. A few drops of room-temperature water can open up the aroma, and it pairs well with dark chocolate, smoked salmon or aged cheese.
