Description
Lautrec VS is a cognac from France in the VS grade, bottled in 750ml.
The VS grade is young and fresh, with a refined taste profile. Typical of a VS cognac, expect fresh grape, pear and apricot fruit, a touch of vanilla and light oak spice, and a lively, easy finish. Cognac is double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged in French oak, which gives it the fruit-forward, floral character that sets it apart from other brandies. Grade matters: VS is aged at least two years, VSOP at least four and XO at least ten, so older grades are generally richer and more layered.
Serve neat or over ice, or use it in a Sidecar, Sazerac or a simple cognac and ginger ale highball.
