Description
The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Year 110 Proof is a higher-strength take on the classic Sherry Oak 12, introduced in late 2025. It is matured for 12 years exclusively in sherry-seasoned oak casks and bottled at 55% ABV, which intensifies the richness that Macallan fans know from the standard 43% bottling.
The nose is full of sticky dates, cherry compote, cinnamon, cacao nibs and dried orange. On the palate expect rich oak and sultanas with stem ginger, star anise and dark chocolate, leading to a long, warming finish of treacle toffee, mocha and sweet cinnamon.
Try it neat first, then with a few drops of water to see how the sherry notes open. It is a good bottle for a side-by-side with the regular 12 Year.
