Description
Macallan Cask Strength is a Speyside single malt that is bottled at natural cask strength, without dilution. It is a more intense and concentrated take on the Macallan sherry-oak style.
Expect rich dried fruit, orange peel, spice and sherry-influenced oak, with a warming, powerful finish. A few drops of water can open up the aromas. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.
Sip it neat or with a little water. It is best suited to experienced single malt fans. A few drops of room-temperature water can open up the aroma, and it pairs well with dark chocolate, smoked salmon or aged cheese.
