Description
The Macallan Diamond Jubilee is a limited single malt created by The Macallan to mark Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee in 2012. Bottled at 52% ABV from sherry-seasoned oak casks, it is one of the best-known collectible releases from the Speyside distillery, and sells in decorative presentation.
The profile is built on rich sherry-cask character, with dried fruit, dark chocolate, spice and polished oak. The palate is concentrated and layered, and the finish is long, warm and lingering.
Because bottles like this are usually bought to keep, it suits a collection, a special gift or a milestone toast, poured neat in a good glass. Keep it boxed and displayed, or open it for a once-in-a-lifetime pour with friends.
