Description
This bottling is part of The Macallan Harmony Collection, a series created in partnership with master chocolatiers and made to be paired with fine chocolate. It is matured in a combination of American and European sherry-seasoned oak casks.
Expect a rich single malt with cocoa, dried fruit and warm spice notes, designed for a slow, contemplative tasting. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.
Sip it neat alongside dark chocolate. It is a kosher bottling and a good choice for kosher gifting. A few drops of room-temperature water can open up the aroma, and it pairs well with dark chocolate, smoked salmon or aged cheese.
