Description
The Macallan Harmony Collection is a limited annual release from Macallan in Speyside, with each edition inspired by a different sustainability theme and presented in packaging made from repurposed materials. This release draws on rich cacao and is matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks.
Expect dark chocolate, dried fruit and warm baking spice, with a long, dessert-like finish. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.
Sip it neat alongside dark chocolate, or with a few drops of water. A few drops of room-temperature water can open up the aroma, and it pairs well with dark chocolate, smoked salmon or aged cheese.
