Description
The Macallan Litha is a limited-edition Speyside single malt that celebrates the summer solstice. It is matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks.
Expect dried fruit, citrus and vanilla, with spice and sherry-influenced oak, and a smooth finish. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.
Sip it neat or with a drop of water. It is a collectible for Macallan fans. A few drops of room-temperature water can open up the aroma, and it pairs well with dark chocolate, smoked salmon or aged cheese.
