Description
This market-exclusive Macallan release is a Speyside single malt that shows the distillery's signature sherry-cask style. It is a collectible edition for Macallan fans.
Expect dried fruit, orange and rich sherry with a hint of ginger on the nose, then raisin, dark chocolate and oak spice on a full palate, and a long, warming finish. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.
Sip it neat or with a few drops of water. A few drops of room-temperature water can open up the aroma, and it pairs well with dark chocolate, smoked salmon or aged cheese.
