Description
The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old is matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. This 375ml half-bottle is a convenient size to try it.
Expect rich wood spice, dried fruit and a natural gold color, with a smooth, warming finish. Scotch whisky must be matured in oak for at least three years in Scotland, and the type of cask used plays a large part in shaping the final flavor.
Sip it neat or with a few drops of water. A few drops of room-temperature water can open up the aroma, and it pairs well with dark chocolate, smoked salmon or aged cheese.
