Description
Maker's Mark is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon that uses soft red winter wheat in place of rye for a gentler, smoother character. It is made in Loretto, Kentucky, and every barrel is rotated by hand. This 1L bottle suits home bars.
Expect caramel and vanilla with a touch of fruit and a smooth, soft finish. Bourbon is made from at least 51 percent corn and matured in new charred oak, which is where much of the vanilla, caramel and toasted wood character comes from.
Pour it neat or over ice, or mix it in an Old Fashioned, a Mint Julep or a Whiskey Sour. A splash of water or a single large cube can open up the aromas, and it pairs well with barbecue, smoked meats, aged cheddar or dark chocolate.
