Description
Maker's Mark Tim Couch is a hand-selected private barrel pick of Maker's Mark's signature wheated bourbon, made with red winter wheat in place of rye for a softer, rounder profile. It is aged in the distillery's rackhouses in Loretto, Kentucky.
Expect vanilla and caramel with the gentle sweetness Maker's Mark is known for, finishing smooth and warm. As a single-barrel selection, character can vary slightly from bottle to bottle. Bourbon is made from at least 51 percent corn and matured in new charred oak, which is where much of the vanilla, caramel and toasted wood character comes from.
Pour it neat or over ice, or use it in an Old Fashioned. A splash of water or a single large cube can open up the aromas, and it pairs well with barbecue, smoked meats, aged cheddar or dark chocolate.
