Description
Meukow VS is a cognac from Meukow, a Cognac house recognizable by its panther-themed bottle. This is the 750ml bottle.
It is gold with hints of copper. The nose is citrus-led, reminiscent of an orange liqueur, followed by dark forest fruits. The palate has aniseed and spice with wood tannins, and the finish is soft and rounded. Cognac is double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged in French oak, which gives it the fruit-forward, floral character that sets it apart from other brandies. Grade matters: VS is aged at least two years, VSOP at least four and XO at least ten, so older grades are generally richer and more layered.
Serve neat, over ice, or in a cognac cocktail.
