Mezonte Aciano Agave Spirit 200ml

Mezonte Aciano is an ancestral agave spirit distilled by maestro Aciano Mendoza, a Tepehuano producer working in the remote mountains where Durango, Nayarit and Jalisco meet. Mezonte, a nonprofit project devoted to preserving traditional agave distillates, bottles small batches from individual families like his and leaves part of every batch with the community.

Aciano's spirits are made from wild-harvested agave, roasted in an earthen pit, crushed by hand and distilled in a small rustic still. Bottled at 50.3% ABV without dilution, it is savory and complex: roasted agave, wet clay and citrus on the nose, then pepper, minerality and a light lactic funk on a viscous palate, with a long, clean finish.

This 200ml flask is an ideal way to taste a rare, small-lot distillate without committing to a full bottle. Sip it neat at room temperature from a copita or small glass.
