Description
Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Rye is a limited barrel strength release that takes the distillery's acclaimed single barrel rye and finishes it in a second, custom-toasted barrel to draw out deeper layers of flavor. It delivers rich vanilla, caramel and baking spice layered over bold, spicy rye character. A small-batch Kentucky straight rye distilled to Michter's quality standards dating back to 1753.
Please note: this release is bottled at barrel strength, so the proof and ABV vary from barrel to barrel. The exact proof is hand-written on each bottle's label, and the bottle you receive may differ from the one pictured.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted oak, vanilla and baking spice.
Palate: Caramel, rye spice and dark fruit.
Finish: Long, warm and spiced.
