Description
Mount Gay 21 Year PX Sherry is a rare aged rum from Mount Gay, the historic Barbados distillery founded in 1703.
The rum is matured for 21 years in oak and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Expect brown sugar, dried fruit and toffee, with a rich, sweet, lingering finish. Extended barrel aging typically rounds off the rough edges of rum and layers in baking spice, caramel and toasted wood.
Best sipped neat or over a single large ice cube. Sip it slowly, with a few drops of water if you like, and pair it with dark chocolate, nuts, or aged cheese.
