Description
Oban is a small West Highland distillery in the town of Oban on Scotland's west coast. The Little Bay is a small cask expression, matured in smaller-format casks that bring more contact between spirit and wood, giving it extra richness. This bottle is 86 proof.
The nose offers dried fruit, a touch of sea salt and gentle smoke. The palate is rich and rounded, with fruit and spice, a briny edge and a hint of smoke, ending in a warming finish.
Serve it neat or with a splash of water. It suits those who enjoy a coastal Highland style with a bit more weight. It also pairs well with smoked fish, salty cheeses or a square of dark chocolate.
